On this date in my family history - March 1

On March 1, 1905, my great grandmother, Susan Estella Brown Huber died.

Born November 11, 1876 in Winnebago, Minnesota, Susan was the daughter of William Brown and Ann Bottomley.  William and Ann were both born in England.  William emigrated to America in 1858 and Ann in 1863.  They were married in Winnebago in 1866 and had seven children.

Susan Estella was their fourth child.  She married Milton Milo Huber July 12, 1899 and they had two children:  Philip S. Huber (born 1901) and my grandmother, Charlotte Mary Huber (born 1903).

Milton and Susan moved to northern Minnesota in 1904 in hopes that the change in climate would improve her health.  She died of consumption (tuberculosis) in Liberty, Minnesota.  Her remains were returned to Winnebago, and she was buried in Basey Cemetery.
